Earlier this month my respected teacher & Dethei, Anima Mishra Kar, passed away. She was a beloved mother, Mother-in-law, grandmother, teacher, and a radio artist.
Just a month back I had spoken to her via video call and she sounded so positive, as always, with a book in her hands. Not for a single moment it felt like she was suffering the pain of her ongoing dialysis treatment since several days. It is still unbelievable that she has left all of us.
Dethei was very well known in her literary fraternity and she was a great singer too. For me, she was one of my favourite teachers. As our batch was the last batch she taught, we were lucky too! She used to have a 100% attendance in her class for her English subject without anyone bunking. This was her aura in our college days!
While we are getting used to saying goodbye, we know how lucky we are to have known her and have her in our lives. We all will cherish the great memories we all had with her.
