I wandered into the world of my fancy,
Traced strange faces there-
Everybody seemed to resemble you;
No wonder, I saw you in everyone.
Again I roamed-
the entire street,
the whole town,
and even crossed
the country-
But you were nowhere.
One day, I found
your address-
It was in my heart.
My dear, now you know,
there is no need to play hide and seek with me.
For you already know-
there is nowhere you can go.
Something is forever
carved inside my heart;
That’s the signboard
of your name.
You spent your whole life hiding it from
my hawk-like glance.
Finally, with your humble grace,
I will have a sleep of permanence…
