Prof Ganeshi Lal, Honourable Governor, Odisha received the first copy of the book Encountering Time by Manas Ranjan Mahapatra today at Raj Bhawan, Bhubaneswar. This is the first book containing memoirs of interface of the author with eminent personalities of India and the world. The author termed the book as a History of the Living India.
Born in Puri, Manas Ranjan Mahapatra has been one of the most successful cultural administrators of the country in the last three decades. He was Director, Information, PR, Art and Culture of the North Eastern Region besides a senior editor in the National Book Trust, India and a member of Board of Advisors of AFCC, Singapore and a selection committee member of Moortidevi Award of Bhartiya Jnanpith. He has six anthologies of poems and two short story collections besides over 50 translations to his credit.
