I waited
A long year
Between my
Wait and silence
And between
That silence and
Pause
Your thought lingered
And between that
Lingering feeling
And seasons
A year passed by
Finally that day
Arrived
I again kept
Waiting
For your wishes
Between my
Brunch, lunch
And dinner
My device
Was flooded
With endless
Messages
But never came
Your message
I waited long
It seemed an eon had passed
Between
Your call
And my waiting.
I
Measured the gap
Between the pearls
Hidden in blue oysters and
Tiny stars that
Shine from the
Distant sky.
I realized
My heart
Would never blossom
With the sight
Of your wishes
Yet this
Restless heart
Made a birthday
Wish
To the falling star
For holding your
Soft hands
While walking
On the golden sand
One day I will
Celebrate my birthday
Resting my weary self
On your tender heart!
