A national level webinar on the topic of vision about Odisha @2036 was organised by Utkal Chhatra Sahitya Samaj, the oldest student literary organisation of odisha (established in 1943) on the eve of 90th Utkal Diwas Celebration. The webinar was Presided by Dr Saileswar Nanda, President Kalinga Bharati who stressed upon the responsibilities of the present generation to preserve our language and literature in the right way and pass on the baton to the forthcoming generation. Eminent Gynecologist Prof Dr Sanjukata Mohapatra attended the webinar as Chief guest, she appealed to all thr non odia medium schools to impart Odia as the first language instead of the present practice of calling it a second language. Shri Barada Prasanna Das, former additional director of Odisha Information Service attended the function as Chief Speaker. Shri Das very elaborately spoke with facts about the process of preservation of Odia language and literature through press heritages stating from 1800s till date and empasised on working towards preservation of our regional monuments like the Dilapidated Centenary Monument of Utkal Sammilani in Cuttack. Amongst others Pandit Nagendra Mohapatra,Sagrika Praharaj, Sipra Kar, Nirlipta Mohanty, Jagannath Swain, Abhishek Tripathy and Umashankar Mishra spoke on various aspects of future goals for 2036. Eminent youth vocalist Ahwaan Nayak presented about the futuristic approach of Odissi music in development of Odisha. The Webinar was coordinated by Dr Ansuman Kar, secretary Kalinga Bharati who in his concluding remarks spoke of the 11-point suggestions given by the organisation to the government for promotion of language and literature.
