Where is love-
That little bird on a branch
With eyes of pearls.
The silent enchantment
Silhouetting soul
Like pallbearers of dusk.
Where is love-
That grasshopper in sun
With eyes of marbles.
A synonym for friend-
A flag for freedom,
A fragility in green wrapper.
Where is love-
That dog in the shade
With eyes of a monk.
A ball of tender warmth
Rolling all o’er you
Like rains of roses red.
