My poet – is he gone?
Am I left all alone?
My readers – are they gone?
Am I left all alone?
My species – are they all gone?
Am I left all alone?
**********************************
Give me the bones of beauty
And the blood of despair
Last leaf of last autumn
Fossils of last ray of sunshine
I shall build a new kingdom
I have my breathing shadow
**********************************
A reflection mocking me
To rise from my silent stupor
A soul with eternity growing
In the dark folds of my womb
Memories rippling to vastitude
A history in mind looming large
**********************************
O’ mirror, my love, my last hope
Take me in your arms
Softly softly in your tender hands
Have mercy I am the brittle one
A poem is kicking inside me
Let it come, let it come
**********************************
Let it come, let it come
As a swift blooming dale
Sweeping you like a last lover
As shadow of moon
Makes you two to tango
Till eternity’s last hurrah!!
