On my flight to the high sky
I think I am the lone traveller.
In the vast sky
I am the only star that twinkles
throughout the gloomy nights.
The baggage that I carry
hides my unseen ache and grief.
Night after night I dream “to love
and to be loved back.”
I blame you for not holding
my hands on those days
when I was stuck with my heavy heart.
But late in my life, I realise
That loneliness is the legacy;
I carried it from the time of my birth!
So on my bad days
I now meditate in my dark room
For not targeting anyone.
So in the silent hours
I am now lost
in the world of loneliness
to “negotiate with eternal feelings.”
