Everyone of us is a beggar
Alms of mercy, atonement,
A change in flow of destiny,
Morsels of Lord’s blessings
To stay afloat in a darkly world,
We are but seekers of meanings
Silently waiting for wafting of
Lord’s flute to resurrect us from
The crypt of eternal curse
To rise from slumber of shadows
To be one with the cosmic whole
We are not different from each
Behind facade of a designer
Hiding beneath a staccato voice
Or a pantomime act of happiness
We bury our grief and suffering
Far from the vulture’s prying eyes
Look closely at us as
Piercing as Shiva’s Third Eye
Nothing, nothing, my friend
But torn hearts and tattered souls
Begging to be whole again
With a magic touch of the One
Who is ever so merciful to us
